Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl - Blu-ray

Pirates of the Caribbean certainly was a blessing for Walt Disney when it first came out.  Highly anticipated and hyped by the media.  Well I for one wasn’t caught up in the Pirates of the Caribbean craze and basically had not interest in seeing the movie.  I felt that since it was being distributed by Disney, it wasn’t going to be worth the $8 to watch in the theaters.

The Covenant - Blu-ray

While The Covenant has been available on Blu-ray for some time now, I had absolutely zero interest in purchasing it.  It was given great reviews for the PQ, but I just couldn’t see myself spending money on the movie.  It just so happens my co-worker has a PS3 as well and owns The Covenant.  So I borrowed it and finally got around to watching it tonight.

Casino Royale - Blu-ray

The first of the James Bond series to leap into the next generation.  It seems only fitting that BD would throw out their newest and some would say a refreshing look at Bond.  Shaking up the stale figure of Bond is now Daniel Craig.  My only other viewing of his acting abilities was in Layer Cake, so to me it was a big leap of faith to go with Craig to pull off the James Bond persona.

Layer Cake - Blu-ray

Finally got time to start watching some more movies.  The first on my new selection is Layer Cake.  Like a lot of movies, this probably would have passed most viewers by except for the fact that it’s main actor just happend to have another big release the same day.  I’m talking about Daniel Craig and Casino Royale.

The Prestige - Blu-ray

Magic tricks.  Illusions?  Just when you think you figured it out.  You didn’t really know it at all.  Kind of like magic. That is the whole premise behind The Prestige.  The Prestige focuses on the rivalry between two magicians, Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale.  Each trying to out do each other.  Each trying to perform the one trick that will make them famous forever.
