Well my Pioneer Elite VSX-TXH receiver is here. For those of you who know, I’ve been running a Pioneer Elite VSX-82TXS receiver to power my Home Theater. With my accumulation of Blu-ray movies that consist of DTS-HD Master audio, I was in need of a receiver to handle it. Since no players currently decode DTS-HD Master audio internally, the only method to getting it is to purchase 1.) Player that will send out the audio as Bitstream and have 2.) Receiver capable of decoding it. (more…)

Saturday August 11, 2007, I picked up a new Philips Ambilight 2 47″ 1080p LCD (47PFL7432D) display. I was previously using the Hitachi 42″ (42HDS69) Plasma Display for watching Blu-ray and HD DVD movies. It was finally time to step up in size and having a display which did 1080p natively.

So why did I buy the Philips Ambilight 2 (47PFL7432D) LCD? How about:

Native 1080p display

LCD for gaming

5ms refresh rate

1:1 pixel mapping

ambilight 2

3 HDMI inputs

47″ display

Having some time today, I decided to take a drive to Grove City College. The weather looked like it was going to be nice, so I was fortunate to get some pictures in. You can view them in my Buildings Photo Gallery and continued on Buildings Photo Gallery 2. The camera used was a Canon Digital Rebel XTi (400D) DSLR. I mainly used the Canon 17-55IS 2.8f USM lens. There are a few photos taken with the Canon 70-300IS 4-5.6f lens. I did all post processing in Adobe Camera Raw 4.0 then in Photoshop CS3.

When finished, please come back and leave some feedback.
